PENINGKATAN KEKUATAN, FLEKSIBILITAS DAN KESEIMBANGAN OTOT LANJUT USIA MELALUI SENAM MANDIRI

Abstract: Gymnastics Self, Flexibility and Balance Muscle Strength, Seniors. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of independent exercise program to increase muscle kekauatan, flexibility, and balance the elderly. The study design was one group pre test and post test design. With a large sample of 21 elderly people in the neighborhood health center "Makutodewo" Banyuanyar Village. Surakarta given independent exercise program 2 times a week for 6 weeks. Statistical tests in this study using a test t test. The results of an independent study found exercise can increase quadriceps femoris muscle strength (p <0.05). Kekauatan quadriceps femoris muscle increased from 15.90 kg to 20.93 kg. Gymnastics can independently increase the flexibility of the trunk (p <0.05). The flexibility of the trunk increased from 31.09 cm to 33.04 cm. Gymnastics can independently increase the balance (p <0.05). The balance increased from 9.64 sec to 8.54 sec.
